Artist |
Pissarro, Jacob Camille |
Pissarronever veered from the broad aims of Impressionism throughout his life and strove always to recreate an aspect of nature or piece of countryside faithfully so that the spectator felt that he was actually there at the scene. His advice to young painters was “Do not define too closely the outlines of things; it is the brushstroke of the right value and colour which should produce the drawing”. |
